Day 1: Welcome to Chiang Mai!

Afternoon: Arrive in Chiang Mai, meet CISabroad Site Director and onsite staff, transfer to accommodation
Meals: None

Transportation: Airport to accommodations 

Day 2: Orientation

CIS Health and Safety Orientation

Group Lunch and Thai Cultural Values Training
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, Welcome Dinner Transportation: Accommodations to visits (walking)

Day 3: Chiang Mai City Tour 

Learn some basic Thai, then hop on local transport and tour some of the Chiang Mai’s amazing temples and markets
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Transportation: Accommodations to visits (walking and public transport)

Day 4: Travel to Mae Sai 

Check out of accommodation and travel to Mae Sai, stopping at the famous White Temple along the way.

Check into new accommodations late afternoon.
Meals: Breakfast

Transportation: Private minibus

Day 5: Project Introductions and Work

Travel to your volunteer site: The Development and Education Programme for Daughters and Communities Centre in the Greater Mekong Subregion (DEPDC).

Meet the staff, learn about their work and start your work that afternoon! 
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Transportation: Accommodations to visits (private transport) 
 

Days 6-7: Project Work

Mornings:  Project work with the children

Afternoons: Reflection/teaching time 

Meals: Breakfast, lunch 

Transportation: None (walking)
