COUN 735: Counseling Practicum (3 credits)

The practicum provides an arranged, supervised experience in a specialized area of counseling. It requires sufficient training and experience to allow the beginning of autonomous function. 


ARTT 790: Research Project in Art Therapy (3 credits)

The art therapy research project in counseling provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their proficiency in the area of art therapy before completing their MA in Counseling. This entails the completion of a manuscript, project, or thesis in which students synthesize previous theory and practice and extend their learning in their chosen area of interest.

The Development and Education Program for Daughters and Communities Centre in the Greater Mekong Subregion (DEPDC) has a half-day school center that works with children of migrant workers or families at risk of trafficking. By providing education they hope to offer a better future and prevent trafficking at the source. Project work can include classes, workshops and other education focused activities with the children at the school.
